The UNISA examinations will be taking place over a single period at the end of the year. UNISA has communicated with regards to the exam timetable and has announced that all exams will be online.

This year UNISA has decided that they will only be having one examination period at the end of the year.

Both semester one and two’s exams will be written from the 20th of September to the 26th of November, making it a long enough period for students to prepare as needed.

UNISA has communicated that they will provide students with a provisional timetable as soon as they have it ready. The timetable will be issued to students via email, a good amount of time before the exam takes place, to ensure that students are able to enquire if they find any faults and make arrangements where needed.

As far as possible exams are expected to be offered online for 2021 and spaces at UNISA libraries will be made available for students who are unable to complete their exams from home. The approved examination type per module will be applied.

Online exams will still be taking place due to the Covid-19 restrictions and are scheduled for the period 20 September to 26 November 2021.

A special supplementary examination will be conducted during June/July for qualifying students (supplementary, aegrotat, FI concessions) emanating from the January/February 2021 examination period.

They have extended semester one to spread it over 22 week and assessment due date will be from 1st of April to the 31st of August.

Semester two will then commence earlier allowing students to have more time to register and get started early. Shortly after the exams will take place.
