Jumuia Hospitals headquartered in Nairobi, is an integrated healthcare initiative of the National Council of Churches, Kenya, a faith-based multicultural and multi-denominational Christian organization. The Jumuia hospital unites the leading physicians, healthcare professionals and latest healthcare facilities to the system.

We are recruiting to fill the positions below;

Job Title: Hospital Administrator

Employment Type: Full Time

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND

Location: Nairobi

Job Field: Administration / Secretarial

Reporting to: SMT

Jumuia Hospitals Ltd, a subsidiary of NCCK is seeking to hire a Hospital Administrator who will be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to facilitate provision of quality medical care in the Hospital.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the daily operation of the Hospital by ensuring that the staff, facilities, schedules, and flow of work are optimally carried out.
  2. Promotes and maintains effective public relations with the various stakeholders i.e. government, patients, relatives, suppliers, community and employees.
  3. Responsible for developing and directing the implementation of policies and procedures in the Hospital.
  4. Acts as the chief advisor to the CEO in the development and implementation of Hospital programs, policies and procedures.
  5. Ensures availability of transport (ambulances, utility vehicles) and proper maintenance in the hospital.
  6. Upkeep of Hospital infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, legal documents and ensure availability when required.
  7. Participates in the budgeting of the Hospital activities with a view of achieving proper controls.
  8. Responsible for the supervision of all the Hospital employees.
  9. Spearheads culture change to improve the Hospital image.
  10. Responsible for excellent upkeep of sanitation of hospital for a clean and amiable environment.
  11. Develops and ensures implementation of the Service contract agreements for all hospital machines and equipment.
  12. Ensures that, there is full compliance with the existing statutory requirements/ regulations and that all the necessary licenses are obtained in good time.
  13. Resolve any conflicts that might arise from the Hospital operations.
  14. Should stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations.
  15. Any other duties assigned by the executive committee.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration or any other relevant field
  2. Work Experience of at least 3 years at managerial level in a busy and reputable hospital.
