Harvard MBA Application Fee Waiver 2025/2026

Harvard MBA is a private graduate business school in Allston, Boston, Massachusetts, United States that offers a two-year, full-time MBA program with a general real-time curriculum that is centered on world practices.

It is one of the most popular business schools in the world with a long-standing history of success. It has produced hundreds of business tycoons over the years and still holds this reputation.

It is the dream of a lot of applicants to receive lectures, sit in a Harvard business school classroom and they’d do anything to have their dreams come true but if wishes were horses. Well, in a way, wishes could be horses.

Harvard Business School recognized that few elements deterred potential world business daimyo from attending their school such as application fees and other requirements, and the school decided to set in to offer assistance in ways they could.

One of which was by offering an application fee waiver to students who might have to pull off all they have to pay the non-refundable $250 application fee.

Students who may have problems paying off the application fee are invited to request a fee waiver through the need-based fee waiver coalition application and common application. However, you will need to start an application and complete the fee waiver request form inside to request a need-based fee waiver.

Need-Based Fee Waiver

For the need-based fee waiver application, you may be asked to share your previous year’s income information (or the present year) as well as your financial circumstances and reasons for requesting a need-based fee waiver.

You may include information about your income, financial assets, educational debt, family obligations, or other financial difficulties (if you wish) that may warrant a fee waiver. The school’s Admissions Office may request additional documentation even after you submit this form.

You’ll receive an email after submission to confirm whether or not you’ve been provided with a fee waiver. If your fee waiver request is not approved, you will have 48 hours or up until the application deadline date to be considered in that round (if the deadline hasn’t elapsed). Your application may not be considered if you do not submit an application fee after your fee waiver request is unapproved.

Common Application

You could equally receive an application fee waiver via common application by following the steps below to request a fee waiver:

  • Select “Yes” when asked “Do you feel that your financial circumstances might qualify you for an application fee waiver?.” Be sure that you meet at least one of the indicators of economic need.

You can select “You can provide a supporting statement from a school official, college access counselor, financial aid officer, or community leader.” if you do not fit into any of the options or indicators of economic need.

Coalition Application

You could receive an application fee waiver via the coalition application too. All you need to do is confirm that you meet at least one of the indicators of economic need listed in the Fee Waiver section of your Profile.

If you do not meet one of the indicators of economic need, you may enter the Harvard-specific fee waiver code on the payment page: JH3S5Q2LX9. Or send an email to admtran@fas.harvard.edu to request a transfer application fee waiver.
