CPUT Registration Date 2021 for First Year Students Is Open

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology, better known as CPUT, is a university that aims to have an impact on the world of technology. Their vision is to be the “heart of technology education and innovation in Africa”.

The CPUT Registrations are for students whose application status has been check and confirm. If you have not checked your status, click the following link to do so:

The university has six campuses, namely: Athlone Campus, Belville Campus, District Six Campus, Granger Campus, Mowbray Campus, Wellington Campus. They offer lots of different faculties including the following:

  • Applied Sciences
  • Business and Management Sciences
  • Education
  • Engineering and the Built Environment
  • Health and Wellness Sciences
  • Informatics and Design

Their registration for first-time entering/first-year students has opened and will be conducted off-campus and online in order to ensure that the university complies with Covid-19 protocols for Higher Education institutions.

Registration for first time entrants will run from Monday, 1 March until Friday, 12 March.

Students who completed Grade 12 in 2019 or before can register from the 1st of March 2021.

Those who have completed Grade 12 in 2020 should wait for the Faculties to verify their results and once they have received a confirmation SMS that their status has changed they may register.

Students can register online using a Smartphone, Tablet, or Computer. On the computer, they must make use of Internet Explorer 7 or higher, with Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 or higher. The university can state that no other browsers are certified for online registration.

CPUT has urged students to register as soon as possible as spaces in programmes fill up quickly.

Students may only be able to register for residences if they have been academically registered.
