The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) makes use of the results from the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) as a yardstick to measure and compare education statistics globally.

The United States has its place as one of the countries with the highest level of educated persons. According to the QS World University Rankings, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) tops the chart, while most universities in the US are placed at number five of the top ten universities in the world. We all know that mass numbers of international students would give their all to study in any universities in the United States, that is how advanced the educational level of the country is.
7. Ireland
In Ireland, every child must go to school, which is why education and compulsory is free for Irish children. They may choose to pursue a university degrees after their second level.
However, according to OECD’s 2022 report, nearly 50 percent of the country’s adults have completed a post-secondary certificate or degree, and thanks to the government’s Free fee scheme, university tuition fee is free for locals and students from EU states.
8. United Kingdom
The list wouldn’t be complete not valid if United Kingdom was omitted. We know how much United Kingdom attracts foreign students to itself like ants to honey, likewise the educational system. The country was ranked number five on the OECD’s 2018 list of most educated countries but dropped to number eight on the 2022 list.
9. Australia
Schools in Australia have a two way method for students after high school: Vocational training and Education (VET) after which they pass four certification levels and proceed to diploma or obtain traditional degree in one of their universities. Students with no financial constraint can apply for Study Assist to enable them complete their studies, while the ladies can go for STEM programs.
10. Finland
Despite the fact that Finland ranks at number 10 on the OECD’s list of top ten most educated countries in the world, education in this country is still top notch and beats a great part of the other universities in the world.
Students can gain university education or opt for vocational training. Universities are free, and students have the liberty of choosing the courses and exams they wish to take.
