The University of Tampa UT is a private university in Tampa, Florida accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers a broad range of major and minor programs, pre-professional and certificate programs that exceed 200 programs of study.

The University of Tampa has conceded to provide test-optional admissions to undergraduate students for all semester terms through spring 2023. This sounds like a good enough option for most students; however, you still need to apply early.

When To Apply?

How to apply for admission at the University of Tampa as an international student;

  • Application fee: 40 USD

Basic Admission Requirements

  • Transcripts: High school (or secondary school) transcript along with any college or university attended.
  • Scores of Entrance Exams to study in the USA.
  • English proficiency test
  • Letter of recommendation.
  • Personal essay.
  • A professional resume.
  • A financial statement including the bank statement verifying resources to pay for a total one-year expense in the United States.

English Proficiency Test Requirements

Candidates from a non-English speaking country will need to require for an English proficiency test for admission into the University of Tampa while international students who meet the proficiency requirement but still need help can register for one of the ESL programs organized by the university.

How To Get Application Fee Waived

You could be granted an application fee waiver if the university conducts Instant Decision Days. This involves meeting an admission counselor conversing individually with Students and letting them in on their application materials.

To participate in the Instant Decision Days, you need to complete the following steps:

  • Make an appointment with your school’s college and career counselor.
  • Complete an online Admission Application. The application fee is usually waived for Instant Decision Day participants – enter the fee waiver code of UTIDD.
  • Demand that your testing company sent your official SAT or ACT scores directly to The University of Tampa.
  • You may have to write an essay and get a recommendation letter (these are usually optional for students who participate in this program).
  • A transcript summary of your high school performance will be mailed to your college counselor.
  • You can look out for financial assistance but be sure that your application, transcripts, and test scores be submitted one week prior to your appointment.
