How Is The Educational Structure In Singapore?
The educational system in Singapore isn’t slightly different from the rest of the countries around the globe and is as follows;
- Six years of primary school,
- Four to six years in secondary school,
- One to three years in postsecondary school

2. Raffles Institution
Raffles Institute or RI is one of the oldest independent private schools in Bishan that was founded in 1823 and provides for boys of age grades 1 to 4 and offers pre-university education for both boys and girls in years 5 and 6.

3. Raffles Girls School (RGS)
Raffles Girls Secondary School is located in Braddell Rise and is considered one of Singapore’s oldest girl’s secondary schools which was established in 1879. It is an affiliate of Raffles Institution and enrolls only girls while Raffles Institution enrolls only boys.
Raffles Girls School has made history in the country, one significant win being the championship of a group of four students from Raffles Girls School nailing bit at the Kid’s Lit Quiz in 2018 and representing the country in New Zealand in July of that same year.
4. HWA Chong Institution (HCI)
HWA Chong Institution is one of the few private secondary schools in Singapore that was established in 2000. It offers secondary education for boys only from Years 1 to 4 and pre-university education for both boys and girls in Years 5 and 6.
HCI functions under the Special Assistance Plan (SAP) for bilingualism and offers the Integrated Programme and the Gifted Education Programme. 6. National Junior College
NJC was the first government junior college that was established in 1969 in Singapore. It is located in Bukit Timah, Singapore, and offers a two-year pre-university course for students and a six-year integrated programme and both lead to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examinations.
7. Chij St. Nicholas Girls’ School
