How To Join The German Navy In 2024/2025

The German navy is part of the unified federal defense known as Bundeswehr, the German Armed Forces with the primary role of protecting Germany’s territorial waters maritime infrastructure, and sea lines of communication.

The German navy is equally concerned with peacemaking operations, rendering humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and anti-piracy operations.

Eligibility Requirements

• You must be at least 17 years old in order to apply.
• You must have completed compulsory full-time education and have German citizenship.
• You must also be willing to participate in operations abroad after completion of training.
• The court ruled against a minimum height of 168 centimeters for male officers. The state lowered the requirement to 163 centimeters for recruits of both sexes.
