About Garissa County

Garissa County is in the former North Eastern Province of Kenya. The County is most known for Garissa town which has been bestowed the title of the safest town in Eastern and Central Africa. Its capital town is Garissa. Garissa County has a total population of 623,060. A male population of 334,939 and a female population of 288,121 (census 2009)

Qualifications

  • Be a resident of Garissa County
  • Be a Degree/Diploma holder
  • Be an Artisan Certificate holder
  • Between 21 and 35 years of age
  • Have passion and experience in serving the local community
  • Must be willing to commit their time on the assignment for the entire period of the programme
  • Good communication and excellent writing skills in Swahili and English
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic working environment
  • Creative and committed in assignment of duties
  • Readiness to be deployed to any work station within the County.

Duration of Internship: Six (6) Months
