Singapore has hosted several Broadway musicals over the years and this year, 2023, there’s more for this Southeastern Asian country.

From Singapore theatre productions, musicals and stand-up comedy shows, it’s going to be so much fun. So, theatre fans, musical and comedy fans, get ready to have your jaws drop to thrillers you’ve never seen in your lives before, ever.

Theatre Shows In Singapore To Watch

1. We Will Rock You

Starting Date: 5 – 22 January

The rock band, Queen will be performing 24 of Queen’s greatest hits, which were directed and choreographed by Oliver Award nominee Nick Winston. Also, Queen will be performing favourites like Killer Queen, Under Pressure, We Are the Champions, Radio Ga Ga and, of course, We Will Rock You. What more are you waiting for?

2. Disney’s Frozen The Hit Broadway Musical

Starting Date: 5 February – 19 March

Hitting Singapore’s theatre too will be one of the best animations of all time, Frozzzen. Come watch your favourite characters as they lit up the stage with exceptional performance, dazzling costumes, and the awwwwn effect.

3. An Inspector Calls

Starting Date: From 2 March

Director Glen Goei adaptation of the 1945 play An Inspector Calls originally written by English dramatist J.B. Priestley, is about a middle-class family celebration that was interrupted when the invasion of an inspection. Want more? Be there.

4. Sarah Millican “Bobby Dazzler” Live in Singapore

Starting Date: 8 March

Look who’s making her Asian debut with a one-night-only comedy act in Singapore- Sarah Millican. Come watch as the comedienne shares it all about her life, including ageing, her life, and haemorrhoids. A lot is sure to unfold.

5. Brown Boys Don’t Tell Jokes

Starting Date: 23 March – 2 April

Watch the friendship bromance unfold as Playwright Myle Yan Tay and director Huzir Sulaiman attempts to expound on the strength of a bond when five successful friends reunite after years, revisiting old rifts, and breaking bridges in Brown boys don’t tell jokes.

6. The Soldier & His Virtuous Wife

Starting Date: 30 March – 16 April

Fans of Joanna Dong, MengFM’s Cavin Soh and Ric Liu, and Sugie Phua star have the stage prepared for them in this sensational pack video – The Soldier & His Virtuous Wife. Qiu Hu (Cavin Soh) and Mei Ying (Joanna Dong)’s relationship hit the rock when Qiu Hu is enlisted in the army, and as he steps out of the way, tyrant Master List sets his eyes on Mei Ying. What happens, does he have her, or does Qiu Hu return in time to take back his goddess? Find out.

7. Shaun The Sheep’s Circus Show

Starting Date: 10 – 21 May

Grab a seat at the theatre with some snacks as you sit to Aardman’s hilarious shenanigans and Australian circus ensemble Circa’s daredevil acrobatics and vibrant circus skills.

8. Tender Submission

Starting Date: 17 – 27 Aug 2023

A play where values, faith and purpose clash as Catherine and David’s marriage is put on the line. Get ready for this intriguing okay, coming soon this year in Singapore theatre.
