The University of the Free State extended its closing date for the 2021 registration. They have done this to give students who have not registered yet the opportunity to do so.

The 2021 online registration period for senior students at the University of the Free State (UFS) has been extended to 5 March 2021 to give students who have not registered yet the opportunity to do so.

The 2021 registration for the University of the Free State (UFS) will be taking place online for the first-year, senior, and postgraduate students.

No registrations will take place on campuses and no walk-in applicants will be allowed on campus either.

Senior students who haven’t registered by 1 March will be supported through catch-up plans. This will be communicated to students by their respective faculties.

Online registration and orientation for first-year students will be running from 1 to 13 March 2021.

The University has stated that there will be no late applications for 2021 as they’ve reached their admissions capacity for 2021.

The University’s first term and classes will start on 1 March. Classes for new first-year students will start on 15 March.

During the first semester, the university will continue with an online/blended learning and teaching approach for first-year and senior undergraduate students.

Students will be contacted by their faculties if they need to return to campuses. They are encouraged to follow Covid-19 protocols. Students will need to have a valid campus access permit to enter.
