NLNG Scholarship 2026 for Nigerian Undergraduate Students

In keeping with its commitment to fostering education and developing human capital, NLNG invites applications from eligible first-year undergraduates (2025/2026 academic year) for the 2025 NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (UGSS). The UGSS is aimed at supporting exceptional students at Nigerian universities to excel academically and contribute to the advancement of the nation.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • Be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and currently residing in the country.
  • Be a full-time first-year undergraduate student in the 2025/2026 academic session at a federal or state-owned university in Nigeria.
  • Have obtained a minimum of five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting (WASC, SSCE, or NECO).
  • Have scored a minimum of 200 in the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Aged between 18 and 25 years at the time of application.
  • Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from any organisation.
  • Must not be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of an NLNG staff.

How To Apply

  • Upload a recent passport photo (no glasses) and copies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE and JAMB UTME results, JAMB Admission Letter, LGA Identification, and Birth Certificate.
  • Eligible applicants will be invited to take a computer-based Online Proctored Selection Test. NOTE: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in this test.
  • Qualified candidates will be notified to submit an additional set of mandatory documents after the test.
  • Scholarships will be awarded only to candidates who satisfy all eligibility criteria and selection requirements.
