About the Malawi Police Service
The Malawi Police Service (MPS) is a Malawi Government organ under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Public Security. MPS is overseen by the Inspector General (IG), who is appointed by the State President and confirmed by the Public Appointments Committee of the National Assembly. The IG is assisted by two deputies who run the administration and operations, respectively.
Malawi Police Service Recruitment 2026
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Malawians for recruitment into the Malawi Police Service (MPS) as Band Constables (Grade PN).
Qualifications
- Must be a holder of a minimum of the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE); those with post-secondary school qualifications related to music will have an added advantage.
- Should be willing to undergo medical and physical assessment.
- Must be between 18 and 28 years of age.
- Must be without a criminal record.
- Minimum height of 1.68 m for males and 1.6 m for females.
- Must be single.
Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
