Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description

  • Supervises the following sections: Quality Control, Maintenance Planning, and Technical Records.
  • The Quality Assurance Unit is responsible for the following:
  • Contractual arrangements.
  • The inspection portion of the maintenance program (including required inspections).
  • Approving special flight permits.
  • All maintenance related Technical Issuance Manuals and forms.
  • Authorization of Operational Check Flights.
  • Issuance of Maintenance Alert Directives.
  • Management of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Program (CASP).

  • The Manager of Quality Assurance Unit has the authority to:

  • Determine the necessity of an Engineering Order (EO), when is not able to obtain other acceptable data.
  • Duties of the Manager of Quality Assurance unit may be delegated to any qualified person in writing. However, such delegation does not relieve them of overall responsibility.

Requirements for Manager of Quality Assurance Unit:

  • Hold a current mechanic certificate with A&P ratings, each of which is currently effective and has been in effect for at least three years.
  • Has had at least three years of diversified maintenance experience on the same category and class aircraft used by CALLYAIR. This experience may be with an air carrier, commercial operator or certified repair station.
  • At least one year experience as an aircraft maintenance inspector.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Maintenance Exposition manual and the applicable maintenance provision of the NCARs.
  • At least one year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return to service.

Job Description

  • Manage effective relationship with external agencies.
  • Liaising and coordinating with the relevant internal departments to organise logistics.

Job Title: Flight Dispatcher

Function

  • Flight planning and maintaining constant watch on all flights dispatched.

Job Description

  • Monitoring all flights dispatched, their departure, arrivals and amend schedules if there are delays.
  • Liaising with ground crew and ensuring that tasks, such as cleaning, refuelling and loading, are completed on time.
  • Preparing flight paperwork for the crew, such as printing of flight plans, passenger lists, monitoring and producing weather report based on flight path.
  • Ensuring that pre-flight safety and maintenance checks have been carried out with the captain, authorising dispatch of the aircraft and completing all reports and logs according to company regulations.
  • Maintain good relationship with airport authorities and third-party contractors.

Job Description

  • To develop, consolidate, implement, and regularly review operating procedures and security plans.
  • Ensure the availability of all the instruments needed to guarantee security.
  • Monitor the security situation, reports to the managing director and propose mitigation.
  • Undertake continual assessments of equipment (including vehicles) and organizational assets to ensure that minimal conditions for security are met.

Job Title: Chief Pilot

Function

  • The Chief Pilot (CP) is responsible to the Director of Flight Operations (DFO) to manage the day-to-day safe operation of the fleet with respect to pilot performance and plan and implement processes and strategies that lead to continuous improvements in overall safety, efficiency, punctuality and profitability of the company.

Job Description

  • Management and supervision of all pilots.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the pilot team, ensuring consistent high performance with respect to safety, reliability and operational integrity.
  • Work to build a culture of ownership and safety around a positive company spirit of caring, trust and mutual respect across all departments and personnel.
  • Keep up to date with the commercial operating plan, in particular the introduction of new destinations, and ensure that appropriate operational information exists in all cases.
  • Monitor and resolve route related issues through effective auditing and regular updates of the Route Manual.
  • Ensure that appropriate flight briefing facilities and management support is available throughout
  • Liaise with the Standards/Training function to ensure that the performance of line pilots is properly monitored and that effective

  • Ensure that aircraft are flown to the required standards, meeting all the applicable internal criteria and standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring that SOPs meet manufacturer, legislator and operational environmental requirements and manage the process where changes are co-ordinated with other related functions/departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements from the NCAA and all other applicable bodies abroad.
  • Monitor daily line operation for technical and operational standards and identify activity that is meritorious, unsafe, unpunctual or ineffective and take appropriate follow up action.
  • Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC), and in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
  • In conjunction with the DFO, determine that planned flights can be operated in compliance with the terms and conditions of CalyAir’s AOC and over routes and areas for which the aircraft are equipped and capable and the termination or diversion of any flight that may cease to do so.
  • Categorization of aerodromes, general and specific operating minima for use in CallyAir’s operations.
  • Development of CallyAir’s operating procedures and ensuring that these comply with prevailing regulatory requirements and best safe practice.
  • General development, publication and amendment of all Flight Operations Manuals, including the issue of Crew Notices when required.
  • Liaising with the NCAA on matters regarding CallyAir’s operating procedures.
  • Monitoring to ensure that CallyAir’s aircraft are operated to the required standards.
  • Maintaining appropriate manpower within the Flight Operations department and authorizing the recruitment of flight crew, cabin crew and other operations personnel as required.
  • Monitoring the investigation of accidents, incidents and occurrences and the development of any recommendations that may arise.
  • Promoting safety awareness and actively encouraging open reporting and feedback.
  • Liaising with the Quality Department for Audit and Non-Conformance issues.

  • A current type rating on B737CL aircraft
  • Minimum of 7 years commercial airline experience.
  • Previous experience in an Operations management capacity within a Commercial Airline.
  • Sound knowledge of Aircraft Systems and Aircraft Performance principles and applications. B737CL knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Manufacturers Operations Engineering Software Applications & databases – Boeing BPS / BCOP /AFM-DPI and OPT

Job Title: Acting Director, Maintenance (Engineering)

Job Description

  • Coordinate the daily maintenance activities of the fleet of aircraft.
  • Ensure that pre-flight and daily inspections are carried out.
  • Ensure that aircraft are properly released to service.
  • Ensure that items/parts removed from the aircraft are duly returned to store in accordance with OMME.
  • All maintenance requests must be endorsed by the Chief Engineer/Engineering Coordinator for proper records.
  • Must coordinate any major or minor checks in the hanger considering time factor and ensuring a quick turn around.
  • Monitoring the Engineering handover register and items/parts change register on the aircraft.
  • To see to the daily running of the maintenance department and liaising with the technical store on request items.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Engineer will assign duties to the technicians as required.
  • Liaise with the NCAA as the need may arise on behalf of CallyAir.
  • To ensure and verify that maintenance tasks carried out by certifying ‘On Duty’ personnel as well as technicians are done in accordance with the maintenance manual or service bulletin as applicable.
  • To ensure the presence and proper conduct of all line and base maintenance personnel on duty.
  • To liaise with Quality Assurance as necessary, during maintenance difficulties encountered or envisaged in terms of tooling, spares and material requirements for tasks.

Requirements for Engineering Coordinator:

Job Title: Acting Director, Flight Operations

Location: Cross River

Job Description

  • Manages the Flight Operations Unit
  • Serves as administrative control for management of all Flight Operations, crew and safety related issues in CALLYAIR.
  • Has regulatory oversight responsibility over the Flight Operation Unit.
  • Supervises the Flight Operations Unit, departmental heads.
  • Coordinates Operations issues with each operating entity in the NCAA.
  • Rosters crew and ensures that crew are current
  • Supervises other employees as directed by the CEO.
  • Ensures that all flight operations are conducted safely and in compliance with all NCAA, Operations Specifications, and Company policies.
  • Communicates with the NCAA Flight Standards Office, the Directorate of Operations & Training (DOT) and The Directorate of Licensing. Files all required reports and documents.
  • Devises revisions to manuals as needed, submits the proposed revisions to the DOT, receives confirmation from the DOT that the revisions are acceptable, and then distributes those revisions to all manual holders.
  • Schedules aircraft availability, including scheduling the aircraft for required inspections.
  • Coordinates with the Head of Maintenance the timely correction of mechanical irregularities and discrepancies.

Job Description

  • The Acting Director Finance create policies and procedures and assumes responsibility for all Finance and Accounts related systems and processes of Cally Air Investment Limited.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure timely reconciliations of mandatory bills.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • To manage and monitor cash and bank payments as per company’s policy guidelines.
  • To prepare daily receipt and payments statement with complete supporting documents/vouchers etc.
  • To balance sales remittance report and co-ordinate with Sales Partners head office finance.
  • To maintain a proper debtor and creditor ledger accounts and monitor them according to the credit policies of the company.
  • To ensure proper control over assets belonging to the company and maintain fixed assets register stating identification, location and valuation.
  • To ensure that the best credit relationships are secured with creditors.
  • To assist the internal and external audit that may be conducted from time to time.
  • To prepare and maintain daily report of receipts from CallyAir Operations
  • To prepare and maintain daily report of receipts and monthly reconciliation of inflow and expenditure.

  • Inspects items in books of original entry to determine if accepted accounting procedure was followed in recording transactions.
  • Counts cash on hand, inspects notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and cancelled checks.
  • Verifies journal and ledger entries of cash and check payments, purchases, expenses, and trial balances by examining and authenticating inventory items.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years commercial experience preferably from Airline.

  • Proficiency in usage of MS Offices, English word processing.

Job Title: Acting Director, Admin / Human Resource Manager

Job Description

  • Contribute to the employee relations, recruitment and staffing needs, and customer service operations of CallyAir.
  • Initiate corrective actions, implement organisational changes, and ensure dispute resolution in line with policy.
  • Advise managers on employee relations and basic legal requirements, including conducting internal investigations and mediation sessions
  • Educate employees on Human resource policies, procedures and performance management systems, emphasizing their role in providing support towards achieving the goals of CallyAir.
  • Maintain relevant databases to organise and analyse information used in the various human resources functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by or required within the human resource department.
  • Ensure the accuracy of employee records in both hardcopy files and the HRIS system.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • This position requires a graduate with a university Degree in the Social Sciences or related disciplines with a minimum of 5 years work experience, and minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources Management in a similar or related field.
  • Membership of CIPM, CIPD or SHRM or other additional qualifications in Human Resources Management or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with and manage extremely confidential & sensitive data is critical. Also good interpersonal and communication skills are required.

  • Demonstrated experience of growing a business into a viable sustainable entity.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in leadership role.
  • Familiarity with modern aviation related technologies and practices.
