The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is an organization that was formed in 1937. It constitutes more than 25,000 professionals from all over the world who are interested in assisting students’ transit from high school or secondary to tertiary education. The major build-up of members is school counselors, college access counselors, admission and financial aid officers etcetera.

The NACAC helps students look beyond the hindrance of application or tuition fees by providing the necessary assistance they have needed to sail above their limitations.

Who Is Eligible For NACAC Fee Waiver?

Students who have limited financial resources may use the NACAC Request for Admission Application Fee Waiver form when applying for college. This form offers students equal access to tertiary institutions and is for first-time undergraduate applicants who meet one or more of the economic need criteria indicated on the form.

Students who attend schools where district-wide free lunches were served are expected to const with their counselors if they meet up the other criteria.

How To Apply For NACAC

The NACAC Application Fee waiver form can be completed online and students do not need to print it. All they we’d to do are:

1. Students should download the form on their computers, fill out the form, add a signature using the “Fill & Sign” button on the top right of the PDF, and save it on their computers.

2. Students should complete the Student section and fill in the appropriate boxes in the Economic Need section or briefly explain their financial need for an application fee waiver on the lines provided.

3. A school’s counselor, postsecondary support personnel, or principal at the student’s school OR an official from a community-based organization completes the Authorized Official section and will have to validate the student’s economic eligibility.

4. The duly completed form should be sent directly to the institution’s office of admission. The student should contact the office of admission to determine the school’s accepted mode of delivery (e.g., mail, email, fax). The student should follow up with the office of admission 2-4 weeks post submission to check on the approval status.

List Of Colleges That Accept NACAC Fee Waiver

1. Oklahoma State University accepts ACT, SAT, and NACAC application fee waivers. OSU also accepts application fee waivers for students who demonstrate need by receiving free or reduced lunch costs.

2. Texas State University also accepts NACAC.

Other universities also accept school fee waivers however, each institution makes the final decision to accept or decline fee waiver forms. If a fee waiver is declined, the institution will ask the student to pay the application fee. Thus, Students are expected to check with their chosen institutions to ensure they accept the NACAC fee waivers.
