About Bungoma County

Bungoma County is a county in the former Western Province of Kenya. Its capital is Bungoma town. It has a population of 1,670,570, of which 812,146 are males and 858,389 females as per the 2019 census, and an area of 2,069 km2. It has nine constituencies, namely: Bumula, Kabuchai, Kanduyi, Kimilili, Mt. Elgon, Sirisia, Tongaren, Webuye East, and Webuye West.

Qualifications

• Be a resident of Bungoma County
• Be a Degree/Diploma holder
• Be an Artisan Certificate holder
• Between 21 and 35 years of age
• Have passion and experience in serving the local community
• Must be willing to commit their time to the assignment for the entire period of the programme
• Good communication and excellent writing skills in Swahili and English
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
• Creative and committed to the assignment of duties
• Readiness to be deployed to any workstation within the County.

Duration of Internship: Six (6) Months
