About the Bank Of Uganda Internship

Bank of Uganda’s Internship Programme offers a wide range of opportunities for students to gain insight and appreciation of the technical and administrative implementation of Central Banking programmes and knowledge in a conducive working environment of the Bank. The Bank receives interns in the months of:  June, July, August, and September of each calendar year.

Bank Of Uganda (BOU) Internship 2026

The Bank of Uganda (BOU) internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the dynamic world of Central Banking.

The Bank of Uganda is the Central Bank of Uganda. It was established in 1966 and is responsible for regulating monetary policy, issuing currency, supervising financial institutions, and maintaining the stability of the Ugandan economy.

Qualifications

• Must be a Ugandan Citizen
• Availability for the entire duration of the programme is six (6) Months.
• Have a University Degree from a recognized institution.
• Not be more than 35 years old.

• He/she must be a person of integrity, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be a team player.
• Strong managerial skills, including motivating, developing, coaching, and leading a team
• Demonstrated high ethical standards;
• Competent and organized;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work in a team-modulated and collaborative environment.
